This is Jesse Ribordy, right? Casey always speaks so highly of the guy when asked about 'favorite artists' in interviews. I'll have to check him out.

It is indeed. Casey actually produced this album and plays on a few tracks. It's easily my favorite release of 2010.

When I hit "Home" it takes me to a screen that just says "Other Top Celebrities" and just lists the top 6. There's a search box, but when I search "The Dear Hunter" it takes me to a "Create Celebrity" page.

Facebook use sometimes works for me, but it's REALLY wonky. And then, oddly enough, if I come back to the main site after using FB, it'll show me a really old version of the TDH page before updating to how it is now.

He did Black, Violet & White at a recording studio in my home town, so he was in the area for like 3 weeks in December. He had just done a few other house shows during his cross-country Colors trip, so I just asked him if he'd be up for doing one more and he said yes. One of the coolest nights of my life =)

The setup was perfect. One of my friends just set his flip camera on a pedestal and recorded on and off through the night. I ended up with like an hour and a half of footage, including all 8 songs he played, and a ton of inane banter (which is really what made up the bulk of the night. The songs themselves ended up being almost like an afterthought).

As for "recorded" covers, I think there's Beautiful Girls (Sean Kingston), Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (Elton John), Unison (Bjork), Brazil (Sinatra) and Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire. Not sure what else they've covered live other than Happiness Is A Warm Gun and Unravel (Bjork)... there are probably others though.
