Hello cake friends! Busy busy here as I am sure you all are as well. Going to move into our new apartment this weekend. I had a informal interview with an old friend who is now co-owner of two restaurants. He's interested in my baking his desserts for the restaurants. I would love to do it but gotta check out money/child care/benefits etc. I have applied for some jobs that would probably pay more and have more benefits so we'll see. Love you all!

Good Morning Cake Junkies, another wonderful day on the agenda. This is Fathers day weekend, we have a parade here in town. We close down at 11 to watch the parade, plus the major roads are all shut down for a few hours. We are planning a cook out and some R&R time. I just read the nicest thing "Every time a baby is born, so are a mom and dad." March of dimes. Enjoy your day and smile it makes you feel good.

Busy day yesterday that ended with husband being stung by a wasp!! He has an allergy to bees so thankfully the reaction he's having is the norm for a wasp sting! Raining today so lots of indoor housework to get done. Have a great day all!

Well...I've just got to tell someone. I was sworn to secrecy last night but you all don't know anyone else to tell. My son and his wife have been together for ten years and have not been able to concieve. They called me last night and she if pregnant!!! My son is over the moon. Now I Have to get back to Texas in time for that birth. I've never been much of a "kid" person but I'm sure this one will turn me into a real "grandma".

Morning Cake Junkies, it is going to be a crazy weekend for me. Mike and Nicholas leave for AZ this evening for 4 days of fun and looking at the area. Max and I have a weekend of cafe and hanging out. I plan on getting some of the finishing touches done from the remodels.

i have my hands full with 12 doz cup cakes today. chocolate with a strawberry mousse, white with blueberry mousse an yellow with chocolate and pineapple cake with pineapple mousse. all topped with a swirl of butter cream! last graduation cake of the year! then of to a wedding cake with a dragon on top! i hope i can pull that one off well!
