Morning!! Turning the oven on early!! Lots of cakes and cupcakes this week!! Dr. Suess birthday is this week so lots of cupcakes orders for that!! Baking some for my sons school as well!! Thanks! Katharine, oh my goodness...talk about melting your heart! My 6 year old woke me up at the crack of dawn to hand-deliver is little Valentine, and my 2 year old told me he would be my Valentine and said I was his "beeeeesssssttttttttt friend!" Pitter patter goes my heart!

Doing good Carla! Pearls for the top tier painted and drying, 9 cameos made (only need 4 good ones), 3 roses in progress, laundry going and dishes done! Great Friday, gotta run, change the music and get back to petals, this is where I missed up last time, so deep breath and pushing forward. ;)

Hahahaha Kerry....when you get our age the memory starts to go. I've just learned to live with it. I forgot my husbands birthday. I felt so bad. Then last night I forgot to lay out his card and gift so he will have to get them when he comes home tonight.

Sally, I think I have Valentine's Day every day of my life -- Mr V is a good man, one day on the calendar isn't going to change that -- business as usual he comes home from time to time on no particular day with flowers, I like that. Mr. Vincent's days!! Love your story Janell.

I agree Kerry--one day on the calendar does not make a man! I have a keeper too...flowers and surprises sometimes on ordinary days, but more important than that to me, his daily help around the house. I HATE dishes, and so does he, but he takes care of them on most days because he knows I have a lot to deal with in other areas. He's a great Dad, too!

Oh I hate when they miss things like that because they got sick. My boy had to miss a friends birthday party and a 'wear PJ's to school/watch a movie' day in the same week because he was sick. He cried a lot over that. Hope your little guy gets well soon!

Taking a quick break, one cake left to bake for today. A local restaurant called to see if I can make their red velvet cake (they always order it undecorated because they place mousse and strawberries on it) so today I made that cake, a red velvet for friday, a 10 square, 2 of the double layer sheet cakes, a lemon poppy and decorated a carrot cake and some little cakes for the cafe. Lots to do tomorrow and more baking (happy day).

I got a cake order today from the company that I do most of their celebration cakes. This one should be hard to get inspired by. It is a new product celebration........for a new "dishwasher". YEP...a dishwasher. They want a really festive cake. OH BOY!! I'm gettin real excited about a dishwasher. Boggles the mind!!!

Good Morning Everyone, it looks like I will be hitting the ground running for the next few day. A small catering dinner /dessert for Friday, 5 sheet cakes and cookies for Sunday all for the same church (thank you) and a few small cakes for the weekend. Life is good and remember if we smile it makes us feel good.

Yesterday was a disaster but good things did come out of it. My Uncle has improved which was great news. After fighting to cover just one of the cakes and winning, I realized I didn't like the color. So today will be re-ice/recover day. Sadly, I recieved word this morning Granddad passed away at 5AM. He is now at peace. I will be keeping busy with the cakes today, if I sit it will only get me down. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

So sorry for your loss. Sometimes it's just better when it ends. My poor little dad is still hanging on and will turn 100 on March 13. Glad your uncle is better.

Well I am making a wedding cake for someone on the 8th August, and they are the most laid back I have ever come across when it comes to cake. I more or less have free range, I love it! The only requests are; ivory and lemon, the cake flavours, choc, vanilla and fruit cake and just plain design! NICE! Lol Happy Wednesday!!!

That sounds like a dream wedding cake to work on! Enjoy planning and having free reign!
