My first book ever was Debbie's Enchanted Cakes, no need to say that in that moment when I opened the book I realise that "When I grow up I whant to be like her" :) :) .... I've learned so much on how to use our imagination. Thank you for all your work, I hope to be able to do a workshop cause England Is a little bit closer than U.S.A. :)

Also, much thanks to Lyndsay Zoratti as she just received a signed copy of Debbie's new book "Gorgeous and Gruesome Cakes for Children" which got me pouring through my Debbie Brown books to see her amazing work again and again! You can never grow tired of her talent and creativity!

Until I have the opportunity to message Ms. Brown on Facebook, I do not feel right placing any of the photos of her copyrighted work on this page; however, as soon as possible I hope to include at least pictures of the covers of her books. I would love to see this page covered in pictures of all the various individuals who have made some of Debbie Brown's cakes or characters over the years. Thanks, Lisa

In fact, she does such an incredible job teaching these methods that the very sculpted, as well as fondanted cake I ever made was one of her cakes, The Pixie Teapot House, from Enchanted Cakes for Children, and it came out remarkably well for a baker who had never attempted either of those techniques before.

One of the most amazing things about a Debbie Brown book is that you can go right to the Table of Contents of each book and see a thumbnail picture of every cake she is going to teach you to make within the book. If their is any particular theme you are looking for, just thumb through the Table of Contents and see if it's there.

Yes, I have told many people to use her sponge cake recipe if they are making any kind of small sculpted cake as it is the best recipe I have found anywhere for the job. That is why you have seen me recommend it. I have used it many times. It never fails to make a great sculpted cake!

Her books are of the highest quality photography paper so that the full colour illustrations are stunning to look at and all the more helpful and inspirational to learn from. Each book also begins with recipes and materials. A wonderful section describing everything you will need to make and understand to produce the cakes within the book.

The next section is entitled Equipment, which covers which particular sugar art tools you will need to complete the particular projects within any one of her many different and amazing sugar art books.

This section is also written very much like a glossary for a novice so that they can learn each of the terms with photographs of possibly unfamiliar or newer equipment to help further understand how to use that specific equipment.

She then includes a section on Basic Techniques in which she teaches general techniques required to construct all of the cakes within the book.

Another extremely helpful section if the Cake Quantities section as she lists each cake within the book and in table form lays out each cake, the bakeware needed, and all the ingredients needed in both UK and US measurements as well as baking times for each cake.
